# Move and archive clips

> File a clip in another workspace or send it to Archive.

You can move clips that you uploaded. Owners and admins can move any clip.

Archiving a clip means moving it to **Archive**.

## Move a clip

**1. Open the clip**

Open the clip that you want to move.

**2. Open More actions**

Select **More actions**, the three dots next to the star.

**3. Open the workspace list**

Select **Move to…**.

The submenu lists every workspace, including **Archive**. A check marks the current workspace.

**4. Choose the destination**

Select the destination workspace.

## Expected result

Tellclip shows **Clip moved** with the workspace name. The destination workspace shows the clip.

## Archive a clip

In the **More actions** menu, select **Move to…**. Then select **Archive**.

The archived clip leaves the library lists and the sidebar workspace pages.

To show archived clips, select **Archive** under **Library** in the sidebar.

To restore a clip, open it from **Archive**. Then move it to another workspace.

## Common errors

### **Move to…** is missing

You did not upload the clip. Ask the uploader, an owner, or an admin to move it.

### Tellclip shows **Could not move clip**

Read the message. Then try again.
