# Edit sound

> Mute tracks, remove microphone noise, and correct microphone timing.

Use the Sound tab to change audio that Tellclip recorded with the screen.

When the recording contains audio, the **Sound** tab appears.

## Mute a track

**1. Open Sound**

Select the **Sound** tab.

**2. Choose the track**

Under **System Audio** or **Microphone**, change **Mute**.

## Remove microphone noise

Under **Microphone**, change **Remove Background Noise**.

## Correct microphone timing

Change **Delay** with the buttons, or enter a value in seconds.

Use a negative delay to advance microphone audio. Use a positive delay to move microphone audio later.

The preview and exported video use the same audio settings.

## Common errors

### A section is still silent

Make sure that the matching track is not muted. Also make sure that the original recording contains that audio.
