# Use presets

> Apply or save a group of visual and export settings.

A preset stores zoom, background, cursor, camera-layout, and export settings. It does not store input devices or input on-off states.

## Built-in presets

| Preset | Main result |
| - | - |
| **Studio** | Uses automatic zoom, a Monet background, 2K export, and 60 fps. |
| **Quick share** | Uses no zoom, no background, 2K export, and 60 fps. |

> [!NOTE]
>
> The **Studio** preset does not control Instant mode. Instant mode controls upload behavior in the capture window.

## Apply a preset before recording

**1. Show the preset control**

Move the pointer over the **Record** button.

**2. Open Preset**

Click the preset control above the button.

## Common errors

### A preset does not turn the camera or microphone on

This behavior is expected. Choose input devices and input states separately in the capture window.

### A custom background becomes None

The preset cannot find its saved custom background item. Add the item again. Save a new preset.
