# Edit the cursor

> Change cursor visibility, movement, size, and click effects.

Use the Cursor tab to change recorded pointer behavior and click effects.

Tellclip needs Accessibility permission during recording to capture detailed pointer input.

## Show or hide the cursor

**1. Open Cursor**

Select the **Cursor** tab.

**2. Choose visibility**

Change **Show Cursor**.

## Change movement or size

Turn on **Smooth Movement** to reduce sharp pointer changes. If the pointer needs more emphasis, change **Cursor Size**.

## Add click effects

* Turn on **Press Effect** to compress the cursor during a mouse-button press.
* Turn on **Ripple Effect** to show an expanding ring at a click.

If smooth movement needs adjustment, open **Spring Tuning**. Change **Stiffness**, **Damping**, or **Mass**.

The preview, exported video, and shared clip use the same cursor settings.

## Common errors

### Movement and effects are unavailable

Turn on **Show Cursor**.

### Spring Tuning is unavailable

Turn on **Show Cursor** and **Smooth Movement**.

### An Instant clip needs more processing

This behavior is expected after you change click effects. Tellclip processes the recording again before sharing.
